How to get through cashier asking for last4

Hey guys just wondering what are your ways of getting through a cashier asking for last 4.
I had one who look at the card and the payment info and noticed a difference, as i do not yet have an embosser.

Should i just get the card and walk away? or what should i do?
Like i dont have an excuse as to why the last 4 is different.

walmart, kmart, etc

cashiers sumtimes match last 4 at walmart.just buy plastics for it is d safest way

Alternatively you can buy stuff under 200$, if you want to keep it safe.
