SHUTDOWN
As soon as you feel that a negative thought has crept into your mind, try switching it (like with a TV remote control, or an electric switch, or wipe off with a rag from a blackboard, or an eraser from a sheet). No need to analyze it, no need to argue with it, no need to defend against it. Just turn it off and put something else in its place (like a new channel on a TV). ELIMINATION
This technique differs from the first in that we do not get rid of negative thoughts, but move away from it and observe it from the side, but do not allow it to take over us. You can say to yourself, “What's happening to me? Now such and such a thought came to me, what would it be? Well, well, let's see what happens to her next ... ”And you just watch her.

Negative thoughts have power over us only if we react to them emotionally. And if we take such an observation-research position, then, most likely, this thought will "dissolve" by itself. Remember the anecdote: "A thought came into my head, wandered, wandered and left without meeting anyone ..."

EXAGGERATION
Once you find a negative thought in yourself, you can exaggerate it to the point of absurdity. The key here is to make it funny. You already know that every day our subconscious is trying to play some kind of joke with us. You are observant. You noticed her. And you decide to use exaggeration techniques. Your ability to tell funny anecdotes, or select successful phrases from comedies, or exaggerate will come in handy here. In general, show your imagination, add a negative picture in a cartoon style, and laugh at your thought yourself.

CONFRONTATION
Everything that a negative thought tells us, we can turn into the complete opposite. As soon as the thought “I will not be able to complete the sale” came to you, you can replace it with a completely contradictory thought: “I will definitely succeed in making the sale!”. As soon as the thought came: “I am not good for anything, I am not capable of anything,” you say to yourself: “I am capable of anything, I am a very strong, purposeful, self-confident person! And I will achieve everything I want! " It is absolutely impossible to think about negative and positive at the same time, consciousness is able to think about one thing at the same time. If you throw a negative thought out of it and put in a positive one, you are robbing the negative thought of its power.

PRAYER
This technique is more suitable for believers. Moreover, it is not necessary to read the entire prayer book, and even not the whole prayer. It is enough to have one, the most powerful, key phrase, which serves as a talisman for a person. For example, as soon as a negative thought has visited you, you can say, "Lord, save and save!" or from the prayer "Our Father": "Lord, deliver me from the evil one!"

Maybe one trick will be enough for you. Or maybe you will use several. Or you will come up with something of your own. It does not matter. The result is important. If all attempts to stop negative thoughts do not work, or they have an obsessive nature (obsessive syndrome), then there is some problem in your subconscious mind that requires serious study. In this case, it is best to consult a psychologist or psychotherapist.
