The government has launched a four-week consultation on new legislation aimed at stopping the supply of printing equipment to identity fraudsters.

Under the proposals unveiled by the Home Office yesterday (4 March) it could become a criminal offence for manufacturers or suppliers to provide specialist printing equipment, such as plastic card printers, hot foiling machines and ultra violet inks, either deliberately or negligently, to those involved in identity fraud.

Anyone found guilty of not carrying out what would be considered under the new legislation as ‘reasonable checks’ or of 'knowingly' supplying criminals with equipment that would enable them to commit identity fraud, could be imprisoned for up to 10 years.

LOL, So in other words don't buy from UK companies but you can order them from China or Eastern Europe at a cheaper price. And if you order in bulk than you can sell to your fellow criminals and make little side profit. :DD

And don't worry about 3 million Romanian and Bulgarians Gypsies that will flood through UK borders for free care and social benefits by 2014 because most of them are engineers and doctors who will pay full taxes by working hard with their pajamas on. :DD

Isn't it abit too late now to apply these rules in a 201 country? They probably thought to themselves 'lets allow the fraudsters to make maximum profit out of fraud for decades than cut down on them when 101 fraud is nearly finished anyway' LOL.

SERIOUSLY???? popcorn

A little advise to the UK authorities:

PLEASE GROW THE FUCK UP ALREADY! :ho
