The malefactor, with the help of an accomplice, stole more than 35 thousand rubles from the terminal.

The 29-year-old hacker stole 35,300 rubles from a payment terminal installed in Orsk, while being in one of the correctional colonies in the Ivanovo region, the Orsk.ru portal reports.

The attacker committed this crime with the help of an accomplice whom he found through an ad on the Internet. The hacker's accomplice installed a program on the terminal to gain remote access, after which the prisoner hacked it using a smartphone.

Law enforcement agencies figured out the attacker when he was already released. The hacker confessed to the crime and entered into a pre-trial agreement with the investigation.

The Sovetsky District Court of the city of Orsk sentenced the man to 1 year and 7 months in prison in a strict regime colony with subsequent restraint of freedom for 6 months. The criminal case against the accomplice is currently pending before the court.
