The company has notified customers of its obligation to provide data upon request.

Google sent an important notification to its users, which informs about the possible transfer of confidential information to US government agencies for legal requirements. The message caused a resonance among users concerned about the safety of their data.

Google explains that the company regularly receives requests from various US government agencies to provide documents containing user data. Google emphasizes that all such requests are carefully checked to ensure their legality and validity. If the request is too general, Google tends to narrow it down or, in some cases, refuses to provide the requested information.

However, if the request complies with legal requirements and is binding, Google is obligated to submit documents that may contain confidential user information, in accordance with the terms of the user-company agreements. This means that the company can place sensitive data in the hands of government agencies, if this is required by law.

In its message, Google emphasizes that even when transmitting confidential information, the company will insist on data protection and demand confidential treatment of it. The company also notifies users of the possibility to contact it for further clarification on this issue. Google notes that such actions are associated with legal obligations, and it is forced to follow the law in order to meet the requirements of government agencies.

Dear Google Customer,

Google hereby notifies you of its legal obligation to disclose certain confidential information to U.S. authorities.

Government agencies across the United States are asking Google to provide documents in such a way that they can disclose customer information. We carefully review each request to ensure that it complies with applicable laws.

If a request requires too much information, we try to narrow it down, and in some cases refuse to provide any information at all.

When we receive a request from a government agency that is legally valid and binding and requires us to provide documents without editing the client's confidential information, Google may provide documents containing confidential information in accordance with the terms of your agreement(s) with Google. Google will request confidential processing of such information.

Google hereby notifies you of its obligation to provide confidential information when required by law, and of its intention to do so. Please do not hesitate to contact us at bb-notices-external@google.com if you have any questions related to the above.

Sincerely, Google
