The courts warn about a new scheme of deception: calls to participants in court proceedings with a request to confirm their attendance at the court session via the received SMS code, the press service of the Mariinsky City Court of the Kemerovo region told RAPSI.
"The Mariinsky City Court of the Kemerovo Region received information from one of the participants in the trial that he received a phone call on the eve of the court session.
The caller, introducing himself as a court employee, accurately announced the surname, first name and patronymic of the citizen, as well as the date and time of the court session, the stated requirements and the number of the civil case in which the citizen participates as a defendant.
After that, the caller reported that the court sent three court summonses through the Unified Portal of state and Municipal Services, for which the citizen needed to dictate a digital code that would be sent to his mobile phone, " the court said.
According to the press service, the participant in the trial did not comply with the requirements of the scammers: after he reported that he needed to coordinate these actions with his representative, the call was interrupted.
A similar scheme of deception of participants in legal proceedings was reported in the Supreme Court of the Altai Republic, in the Administration of the Judicial Department in the Novgorod Region, in the Udmurt Republic, in the Trans-Baikal Territory and in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the court notes.
"We inform you that receiving court notices or copies of judicial acts by providing any additional codes or passwords is illegal and does not comply with the current procedural legislation," the representative of the court stressed.
The press service reminded that in each of the court notices that are sent to participants in the proceedings, telephone numbers are indicated, which can be used to clarify any information related to the consideration of the case.
"We would like to draw the attention of participants in the proceedings: do not give in to persuasions, threats and influence of intruders and under no circumstances give your personal data or passwords sent by phone to perform any actions," said Alexey Bushuev, an official representative of the Mariinsky City Court of the Kemerovo Region.
