Escrow loophole.

Suppose someone buys a skimmer off a vendor on forum thru escrow, toy gets delivered to him but what if he comes online and tells escrow he received stones in the package? Whats the protection / workaround on that? And vise verse, what if vendor ships stones and claim he shipped toy?

i believe the funds should be released after you open the box and see it's the toy.
if the seller rush you for money before you see the toy , then the deal is suspicious ( scam probably ).

Ofcourse, the question is, what if you open a box full of stones? How would you prove that the vendor shipped the toy to you not stones.

I think if they are a vendor and have proven they are able to produce skimmers (by sending to admin, or from other satisfied customers) the staff are likely to believe them. At least the first time. On the balance of probabilities, as they say lol.

It is more tricky for a one off sale.

This is how it works

arrestmeifyoucan sends money to escrow
Fanexus sends skimmer to arrestmeifyoucan
arrestmeifyoucan claims that he has got rocks, escrow holds money and arrestmeifyoucan sends the package back to Fanexus
Once Fanexus got his package the money will be sent back to arrestmeifyoucan.

Which means that if someone gets the stuff and tries to trick Escrow, like paypal chargeback, the buyer will not receive his money before the seller got his package back.

But what you could do is sending back a fake or another exact same product.
Let say that you buys a verifone skimmer. Said you got stone. Sends back a normal verifone, the skim seller is in a rush and accepts.

the way i see it if you buy from a verified seller and use escrow then u should get what u ask for.

Ask seller to write a code on the device.
If the code is the same as both sides give money goes to seller.
If not it stays in the escrow.

This issue can be resolve easily but will take a lil bit longer if u want all to go well.
The most simple fyn I can see in all dis Is to let both parties let de ESCROW do de exchange.
If cash/funds can be sent to Escrow why cant de product itself too be send there for verification b4 it reaches it destination.
If we want better service. Both parties should send wat eva they r exchanging to escrow so Escrow also make de swap/exchange cos it's better that way.
Than to recieve rocks n not ur item OR to send an item to a buyer and not get niether ur item back nor cash cos the buyer claims u sent stones.

escrow is still isnt a 100% reliable as seller protection.. cuz the receive can always claim he received shit , and ask escrow to refund him , that means he finish with the POS + his cash

In the case of the "offline" in escrow, a encryption enabled Offline has 2 sets of passwords.

1. Cash pass, used by employees to swipe and collect information.
2. Tech pass, used to download the collected information.

The seller cannot scam the buyer by just giving any vx670 and claiming its an offline, the buyer can simply request the cash pass (which gives the buyer no extra leverage because even with that pass he has no access to the dumps)

buyer and seller fraud is fun. I do it often with real funds on paypal. The game moves all the time, so you gotta be prepared.

It works best on ebay. Don't do it to power sellers, find new sellers.

What happened if the seller is not verified and he really did send rocks? For instance, the seller sends a verifone vx670 but doesn't send the software to access the dumps, the verifone offline is useless without this, so would the escrow money go back to buyer?

This is something that should be written in the agreement.
If seller tells you that you will receive skimmer, cable, software you thinks it's ok.
But if seller tells Escrow skimmer, and you agree, then the seller hasn't done anything wrong (according to Escrow).

The money will be hold, you will have to send back the skimmer and when he receives it he will tell Escrow ok and Escrow will refund the money to you.

I see all this chatter. Bro it's easy. You need to know what you are buying. In order to use the ESCROW system as it should be used. If you have all info on what you are buying and know HOW TO SET YOUR ESCROW TERMS you will have no problems if the seller is legit.

This problem is encountered all over this place i've seen.

KNOW WHAT YOU'RE BUYING , SET THE TERMS OF ESCROW STRAIGHT AND YOU WILL HAVE A SAFE SMOOTH DEAL.

The problem with this is, it is a lot easier for Escrow to accept e-money from strangers without putting themselves at risk, than to get physical products like toys etc. It would be the best way, albeit the process would take longer. If Escrow would be willing to do it that way, I'm sure it would also cost a lot more. But I willing to wait and even pay more, so less risk, especially with high price toys. For stuff like dumps etc it would be very practical, but ripper dealer can now claim that he sent good dumps and escrow used them, how would Escrow check dumps without killing them? Good idea, but some more thought has to go into it, if it is going to be a viable option in the future.
