Guys... the sky is not falling.
Yes, EMV is a big pain in the ass. But like all things, man makes them and man breaks them. With processor speeds doubling along with the processors getting smaller and smaller... it's a matter of time until the encryption in those chips won't be able to withstand a crack.
Look at the Samsung S4, it has a octa processor in it!
Damn, 5 years ago even desktops didn't have octa processors.
Having that processing speed in the palm of your hand, is a HUGE step closer to cracking the chips, on the fly... like a Mini123.
Also some of you who think that the game will never be the same... WHEN, not IF, the crack for chip & pin comes out... it will get both the PIN and CARD DATA at the same time. So you will be able to cashout at any atm, provided you write the chip correctly. This is because the PIN is actually stored inside the chip along with the secret RSA private keys needed to authorize the transaction.
Look back to the Dish Network satellite hacking days, they implemented Nagra 1, Nagra 2 & finally Nagra 3 killed the stealing of Dish Network signals.
Similar to how Dish Network chips operate, so do the credit card chips operate in the same way... unloopers, unlockers... etc..
ROM10 cards, ROM102 cards... etc.. they were smart card chips that were programmable using exploit packs to get into the chips protected areas.
Anyways, it's a cat and mouse game. USA carders, make the best of it!:beer
