EC-Council invests millions in the future of information security.

The need to address the shortage of cybersecurity professionals has become increasingly urgent in recent years, especially given the projected shortage of 3.5 million professionals by 2025.

In response to this challenge, the EC-Council, the creator of the well-known Certified Ethical Hacker certification, has offered scholarships that will provide access to an extensive curriculum and video tutorials for U.S. educational institutions, including universities, National Security Service (NSA) centers of Academic excellence, colleges, career schools, high schools, and nonprofits.

The EC-Council reports that it has allocated $15 million for the education of more than 50,000 students. The initiative includes 8 practical programs in such areas as ethical hacking, network protection, digital forensics, threat intelligence, IoT security, DevSecOps, and cloud security. These scholarships will help accelerate skills development across the United States and prepare a new working cyberspace.

EC-Council Group President Jay Bavis noted that the partnership with the White House Office of the National Director of Cybersecurity aims to democratize cybersecurity education and train future professionals, which is essential for protecting against cyber threats.

In North America, the EC-Council supports more than 800 institutions of higher education, providing programs that enable the development of cybersecurity skills at the scale required by employers. More than half of the U.S. academic excellence centers are supported by the EC-Council through quality certification programs, training resources, cyber polygons, and competitions, creating highly qualified graduates.

Hari Coker, National Director of Cybersecurity for the United States, said he is pleased to announce the EC-Council scholarships, which will help 50,000 students gain new industry certifications and develop cybersecurity skills through hands-on programs.

Today, the EC-Council offers more than 200 training and certification programs in various areas of cybersecurity, and has already certified more than 350,000 professionals worldwide.

EC-Council is a recognized leader in cybersecurity education and certification, trusted by major companies and intelligence communities around the world. The organization has offices in many countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, India, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.
