Israeli media reported that Israel hacked into the communications network of the control tower of Beirut-Rafik Hariri International Airport and banned the Iranian plane from landing, forcing the plane to return to Tehran.
According to sources, Israel intercepted communications and warned that it would not allow a Qasem Air cargo plane of flight QFZ9964 to land. The plane was already landing when the warning was received.
The Ministry of Transport clarified that Israel announced its readiness to strike at the airport if the Iranian plane lands. The Minister of Transport promptly intervened in the situation and banned the plane from landing in Lebanon.
The incident came amid tensions related to flights from Iran to Lebanon. Such an aggravation is associated with the official statement of the representative of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) about the elimination of one of the founders and leaders of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, as well as the commander of the Southern Front, Ali Karaki, and other leaders of the organization.
