The hardware functionality of smart cards is developing along with the software, and the contactless payment technology PayPass from MasterCard and payWave from Visa is gaining popularity . An NFC chip with an antenna (NFC is a short-range high-frequency communication technology) is embedded in the plastic, which allows one-touch payment for purchases.

The main advantages of using contactless cards:
  • Security. The cardholder retains full control over the card, since there is no need to hand it over to the cashier. You can pay for purchases using a contactless card at the terminals with the icon
  • Simplicity. One-touch payment for purchases without pin-code and signature (for small amounts)
  • Rapidity. Payment for goods using contactless technology occurs almost instantly
  • Innovation. The most modern payment technology.
For ease of use, contactless cards are equipped with a chip and a magnetic stripe, which significantly expands the range of their use.
