Everyone thought that only an old Corgi who was unaware of this type of fraud could fall for such a scheme. BUT this story is about an 18-year-old babe who fell for a telephone scam. It all started with a call from a “cellular company”. The manager on the other end of the line said that the SIM card was expiring and the contract needed to be urgently renewed.

She dictated her passport details to the “manager”, after which the call was switched to an employee of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. He told her unpleasant news: someone had hacked her Go$uslug personal account and issued several loans for large sums. To save the cash, she needed to urgently transfer everything to a safe account. Following the instructions, the girl cashed out money from different ATMs, riding a free taxi from scammers.

In two days, she made about 13 transfers totaling 7.6 million rubles. As soon as the money ran out, she was threatened with criminal charges if the girl shared information with anyone about the transactions, since they had "banking secrecy." Mokhnatka did just that. However, at some point it turned out that she told her mother about what had happened.
