I came from vacance and i saw some card whit this system. Basically just instert card in POS and it work direct without pin in shop, only signature. Can this be cloned and used in shop multiple times, or the code from chip is not static on these?

No, is a normal card whit chip but not ask for pin in store. However, a friend told me in EU sometimes POS ask for pin, he just type any pin and it will ask for signature. And this happens whit his real card.

I see great potential in it that can be exploited, and probably already is bcs USA is goind chip & signature. The BIG question is can chip be cloned? As I know EU card has a dynamic code on chip that change after every transaction.

You still need to insert the card inside the machine and then you can pick how you would like to verify your payment, via signature or pin.
even if you pick pin you must still put in the card inside the machine.
unless you have a method to clone the chip then you can do it.

all ways are possible!

hi bro in my experience,im from eu, i have a 201 (mine) real card, and when i go to a shop dont ask for pin, the shop ask for signature.
I went to my bank one time to ask, cause im interesting in know why, they told me thats this happened sometimes in small shops, old shops that have old pos,but thats not true, cause i went to big stores, news stores, supermarkets...and happen the same, always ask for the signature.
So i asked again in bank, and said they dont know why, that many happen this, perphas comes with this configuration from his main office (central office).
Sorry for my english, i hope you understand, and help you in something, if you want contact me and i come explain better.

It all depends on the bank of the processor not on the bank of the card holder.

AU has option to sign or pin on chip transactions. Changing to pin only by 2013.
