when you open checkin account or something, now they ask to make "OPENING DEPOSIT", so cc must match person who opening account, thats how u open greendot on same social security number and boom! it works

but we are talking about credit cards not debit

The credit report thing is tricky. You need to get your drop address on the credit report for big purchase. You use greendot as Veeker says then open up a secured credit card and pay deposit with green dot. The cheap secure card will get your drop address add to the persons report when you pay the secure card bill. It will not be very quick to really get a credit report going. For me at least that is the way it is.
