some encoders aren't compatible with certain types of software, the one that usually works is the default program, but they are buggy, some i've tried at least
but... you should try exeba and thejerm to see if they work, if they don't they'll obviously give you errors

thejerm will work fine with almost all encoders. those extra pieces of info are fine. sometimes you will need to erase your card a few times(3 to 4 times) to make sure it is fully clear before writing the new tracks.

Try using the Jerm's software, I haven't personally used your model, so I cant help you too much. But i think the best thing you can do is try a different software.

i am using an msr 505c

when i put the track1 and track2 in the msr program they look like this

B5515700000144909^WALTERS/MARK^1103101000000000010000076

5515700000144909=110310110000076

but when i swipe the card through the msr
it writes on the card but puts on extra bits like this

%
B5515700000144909^WALTERS/MARK^1103101000000000010000076
?
51
;55700000144909=110310110000076=:=:?

should i be using a coder or somthing all i am using is the writer and coping and paste the track into the program

i tried the dumps on a Pos and t didnt read the card
can anyone help me with this situation
i am writing in Hi:Co
thanks guys

I think ur track 2 are little SHORT .

tHats why when u read it message are "55700000144909=110310110000076=:=:?

becoz left some numbers

Sample :

4867965520186592^BURLETT/JULIE C^10061010000000222000000;

4867965520186592=10061010000022200000
after = 20 digits

and ur track

110310110000076 after = only 15 digits

if ur sure of ur track try to add 00000 at the end of ur track

11031011000007600000

If u have always error try with another track 2 .

Good soft for msr : http://www.tyner.com/software.htm
Good Luck

everything is correct , might be the problem of your skimmed dump ask your seller what a heck is wrong and if you skimm this dump check your skimmer

Try read your WORKING card (your personal visa or mc) and write track2 to clean card.
If it still put some stupid symbols at the end - then its def. its a prob with your encoder.
Replace it.

I have the same problem.
I've tried to copy my own cc with msr406 and the original software. I went to an ATM I could go into my account, select the amount to withdraw, then it ask me if I want a reciept, I said NO and then it says operation cancelled??

Actually when I read a card there is a symbol at the end as well but when I click on "cancel" to finish the copy operation the symbol disapears and all data is there.

My original cc is working of course

Any idea what was wrong?

nb: I have the jerm soft, I'll make a try, if someone want it, pm me I will send it via rapidshare or something

kayser757 use the one from this thread there is a link in first page www.tyner.com jerm is more complicated for new users
