look if this happened in the usa odds are if handled at the state level youll walk with a suspended sentence and probabtion. This also depends on the state that your charged in. every states peneltys are different and are based on overcrowding seveerity of crime ect. and if you do get sent down then the amount of time will also vary according to each state. some states you do 70% of your time and others because of population and over crowding you do 15%. Now if the feds pick it up they have a uniform set of guidlines they go by and you will pull 85% of your sentence unless you can get the court to stipulate certian programs, most likely even with a public defender youll get probation
Damn, this is some real kiddie shit, so u get busted and everybody comes to court with u? if u have a boss and card then ur boss must be real dumb not to fire u instantly, and ur landlord must send u packing at once, and ur friends must be crazy to go with u to court. Anyways it depends on what u card maybe pizza, lol
I think if a carder plans the worst case scenario for him every time it will do him better

I think i'm more inclined to lean towards positivity than dwelling on worst case scenario...
That doesnt mean I condone being an idiot (looking at cameras, etc)
but things usually work out better if you dont dwell on WCS, as a REAL cardholder wouldnt be doing this.

worst case scenario (sp?)
I had a friend who knew of a guy who was busted 2 years ago.
This man was pulled over in the state of California for an **un-related traffic incident and since the car smelled of marijuana the car was allowed to be searched. In a backpack the officer found a 2md wallet with 2IDS and 7 MATCHING Plastics, with names matching the IDs on the card. Unfortunately the pictures on the id were that of the driver who had just previously identified himself with his LEGITIMATE ID (Of different name of-course.)
The man was booked and taken to LA County jail, and held on 100,000-USD BAIL.
He was arrested by state, not federal police.
The crimes they charged me with at the time of booking were Felony forgery of a state seal, Identity theft (felony), Impersonating a signature (felony), --As well as two misdemeanor fraud charges, though i cant remember what they were.
2 Days if sitting it that stinker and i had my people gather my bail money (ALWAYS CARRY THE PHONE NUMBER TO REACH SOMEBODY WHO YOU PREVIOUSLY LEFT WITH INSTRUCTIONS ON WHAT TO DO IN SUCH A SITUATION. HAVE BAIL-MONEY STASHED WHERE THIS PERSON CAN GET TO IT FOR YOU (GREENDOT CARD/MP?)--Theese few things will save you a good amount of trouble and grief)
Bail cost about $7k non-refundable to the bail-bondsman....
$6k to put lawyer on retainer (FRIENDS price Supposedly... price would have been much higher had i needed to go to trial.)
FINAL CHARGES: Misdomenor Possesion of a fake id BY a Minor (THANK GOD IT WAS 2-WEEKS B4 I TURNED 21)
15 dAYS JAIL AND AROUND 1K VARIOUS FINES.
AND IM STILL ONE CVV2 THIS SIDE OF A FELONY

If you are scared to go to prison you should just stop carding now. Me, I don't give a shit. I been to jail, and might be going again for some other bullshit.

Well. Lets talk about the difference:
Example
Setting up a skimmer. You go to the street with more traffic of people and cars of the city. And as you dont give a fuck about getting caught, you just go to the ATM and install it, in front of thousands of people, and even cameras.
As I dont give a fuck, I install ATMs this way. It is evident that we are not talking about HOW to do it, we are talking about your psychology in front of the installation. We suppose you have GATHERED INTELLIGENCE about what you are about to do. Good and bad points. How to do it CORRECTLY. And when you are doing it, BE POSSITIVE about your actions.
Imagine now, in the same street of thousands of people, it would be stupid to install the skimmer there. But INTELLIGENCE and planification is other thing that thinking that you are going to be caught while installing it in front of all those people. You could THINK a little bit, and wear a technician custom, wear a cap, and add some thing to hide your face. And then get a toolbox with you, and park your car with a Technician Logo.
Now you are "semihidden", so people around you will just think that you are a common technician. You have free-way to install the skimmer now.
Anyway, you can think about this: What should I do if police caught me touching the ATM, will they ask for my official papers?
Well, Im not saying, could I go to prison if.. blabla. Im still talking about actions. Im not going to be so easily caught
THINK about how you could not get caught then. It is all there, just think. Intelligent people are never caught.
Risks in Carding (Online/Real/whatever) is going to jail (not everytime, im talking about the maximum thing), and you must be already conscious about it since you started in the business.
If you are scared, you paralize/stop/start being nervous.
Be cool, be relaxed, and things will flow by themselves.
In conclusion: it is alright to think about the WCS, but not to focus on it. But focusing on the positive benefit of your actions.

I agrre I would do the same thing, also I would do it at night, this doesn't have much to do with thinking positively but having no WCS

There is where intelligence and control comes in. (eg:if you have a lot to "invest", get 2 or 3 people to do the dirty job)
It is not about being mathematic, or physician, is about know about "the streets" or street knowledge, real life knowledge, whatever you want to define it. It is not a code written in books, and a perfect equation to not to get caught.

Fyi, most people are arrested in a car, you can cut 90-95% of interaction or chances dealing with police by not being in one. Use your imagination for alternatives
This is one of the smartest things I ever heard. Almost all my arrests are from being pulled over. And most of the time it's some bullshit like "license plate light out".
Then they pile on like 5 more charges and when you go to court they say "oh we'll drop these charges" and people accept thinking it's a good deal.

That would depend on if it was a Federal crime and 5 k of crimes would not even get you a month in the Federal system.
The question was would the US want you the answer is NO based on what you told us so far. In terms of sentences in Europe again based IMO on what you told us with no prior criminal history, you would get no time its a pretty small crime.

I don't wanna say too much but lets just say I know a great deal of people who have been sent away. Even for first offense. Also, remember a federal sentence in the USA is pretty much a 99% conviction and you will never get to expunge it from your records. EVER!
