A surprisingly slow newbie has emerged who can change the rules of the espionage game.

BAE Systems recently announced the successful completion of key tests of its groundbreaking reconnaissance aircraft, called the Persistent High Altitude Solar Aircraft (Phasa-35). This device stands out for its unique design: it is delicately constructed, has incredible lightness and is designed for long flights at high altitudes.

The main feature of Phasa-35 is its power system. The aircraft is equipped with compact electric engines and has long wings covered with solar panels. These panels, combined with lithium batteries, are able to provide a continuous flight of the drone for several weeks or even months without the need for recharging or refueling.

The drone was developed by specialists of a subsidiary of BAE Systems-Prismatic Ltd. Phasa-35 is classified as a high-altitude pseudo-satellite (HAPS) and is an unmanned aerial system (UAS). Its main advantage is that it can serve as an alternative to traditional systems such as satellites or standard aircraft. This makes it an ideal solution for delivering sustainable and cost-effective images and communications at high altitudes.

BAE Systems emphasizes that Phasa-35 opens up new horizons in the field of aviation and can become a revolutionary solution for many industries, including military and commercial.
