Microsoft founder, billionaire Bill Gates, commented on the popular conspiracy theory that he intends to microchip people under the guise of COVID-19 vaccination:
“I've never done things like microchips. It's very hard to deny that because it's so stupid or weird. "

Nevertheless, Gates admitted that he was worried about the existence and circulation of "all these crazy ideas" in society. He pointed out that anti-scientific statements and gossip lead to incitement of hostility between people. In addition, such rumors provoke a refusal to vaccinate, which, in turn, will only lead to an increase in deaths from the virus.

“It worries me that digital tools are being used to spread all this craziness during this period. When we finally have a vaccine, we will need to work towards the formation of group immunity. And it will appear when about 80% of people are vaccinated, - said the billionaire. "But if they think that this is a scam or that the vaccines are harmful, then they will refuse to vaccinate and the virus will continue to kill people."

The conspiracy theory that Bill Gates wants to implant chips in billions of people in order to control the world's population became popular during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to a Yahoo News poll, 28% of Americans believe in it. In Russia, director Nikita Mikhalkov spoke about this theory in his BesogonTV program, but it was taken off the air.

In the story, the director refers to documents from a "cryptocurrency system using body activity data." If a chip introduced to a person registers the fulfillment of the given conditions, then he will receive "crypto-bonuses", the director explains. The purpose of chipping is to "reduce humanity", which, according to Mikhalkov, Gates stands for.

“On Friday [May 1] there were two sessions, and after that the VGTRK management informed me that there would be no reruns either on Saturday or Sunday. That is, roughly speaking, the program has been taken off the air, ”the director said. He called the incident "pure censorship."

However, after that, the program was “repeated two more times without warning,” at 11:00 pm on May 1 and then at 3:00 am, when in one part of Russia “they were already asleep,” and in the other, “they were still asleep,” the director noted. In his opinion, the TV channel decided to show the program at this very time "in the hope that as few people as possible will watch it."

At the same time, after criticism from colleagues and the Internet community, the master (ISHITA LOL approx. Pavluu) of Russian cinema responded, but is not obliged to provide any evidence.

The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation recognized the videos posted on the YouTube video hosting and the Odnoklassniki social network, claiming that the coronavirus was artificially created for the purpose of “chipping the population”, was unreliable. According to the department, neither the World Health Organization, nor the government of the Russian Federation, nor other official authorities have confirmed information about the artificial manufacture of coronavirus. Apparently, the materials of Nikita Sergeevich did not touch the attention of the Prosecutor General's Office.
