Torchat program was developed by many open source developers all over the world, Torchat is working in many areas of servers, which is why we call this system onion-system. tor works on over thousands servers, i know a lot about tor network, because i am one of developers.
in ur page, we can see only chat windows we have no idea where are logs, you cannot proove us that this software is fully anonymouse.

you hide a location i hide a message..
if the police blow out your door i guess they have a remote idea about where you are (99% of this visits happens after that some "friend" give the cops your address ...and this detail we cannot control ) ...but imagine that passmess cover your ass by hidding your messages and you are free next day...
in conclusion ... torchat and passmess are not doing the same.. will be a very very good idea to mix torchat with passmess... will be a awesome tool..but for the moment is what we have

no..i dont get it.. because nobody compromised anything ... and maybe you dont get it... as soon as the message from user A gets to use B and nobody is able to see it (except user A and B ofcourse ) passmess works perfect
Who cares about encryption. When you make a deal with feds or just speak with somebody who you think can trust, you share all data. All they need now is to find real ip and this is why you should avoid flash, java.
all the code i have seen is very messy and non-professional. it is new. and if the semi-public code is that bad how bad is the rest? if its a project you are working on, great, but don't try and say it is better than other professionally developed clients. des encryption is shit, has been beat. try a cascade for added security. also you only encrypt before sending to the server,first mistake, but where is the shared key stored? i ask this because i can make a good guess. also you are not using IVs sent in the encryption. that would be great but the thing is there are no IVs at all being used. unless you have some sort of new groundbreaking code to transmit IVs on a secure, private, hidden connection using non http ports? sorry but im just not buying it. and flash is one of THE most insecure things EVER. nothing against you personally, but you are passing this off as something it is clearly not. if you need more info on what i have found, passmess, PM me i could point you in the right direction. encrypted source of swfs can be easily viewed,decompiled and exploited, it has MANY remote exploits found depending on the version. loose the flash, get a cascading encryption. 3des-serpant-aes and use hashed keys. not md5 either. also, how do you prevent from the java exploit to steal the counter parties cookies? which can then replicate their session and intercept everything on client side and rendering all encryption useless? PayPal with icq/otr on a vpn+bptnet based proxy chain in a VM. that simple, dont risk yourself with these new clients. you may want to get this more well known in the less paranoid forums first.

believe me.. encryption can save your ass... i already told you.. in the real world the biggest problem are your "friends" who tell the cops where you live or where you are etc... if you really have such big business to get FEDs interested why dont you get a 100$ Virtual Desktop offshore...?? you guys (great security specialists) do nothing for the rest of carders... and you try to kill the rest who ,at least , try to do something... as you can see this is a BETA version... maybe we can improve it ...or at least TRY
