Atm’s that only reads mag strip

How can i know or find if the atm reads the mag stip only? This been on my mind lately

some atm's read both chip and mag strip, they try to read the chip and if it doesnt work or there is no chip present it falls back onto the mag strip.

some atm's read both chip and mag strip, they try to read the chip and if it doesnt work or there is no chip present it falls back onto the mag strip.

I see bunch of atm but it doesn’t says any other information just the name of the bank and the distance

But every single one of them show the chip what can i do?

just because they are chip enabled doesn't mean they cant read mag stripe. go and test them yourself or use old ATM's in corner stores.

i dont know what your region is or what security laws there are. you will have to test yourself.

if the atm is as old as 15 years and is chip enabled it should be able to fallback onto the mag strip if the chip reader detects no data from the emv chip when inserted.
