Apple's impact on the next generation of instant messengers.

This week, the Beeper Mini app was launched, which allowed Android users to get support for iMessage text messages. However, after the app caught Apple's attention, there were difficulties. Yesterday, the entire Beeper platform experienced crashes, prompting speculation that Apple has started blocking workarounds for iMessage.

Despite Beeper Mini's claims on social media that it is working on troubleshooting issues, Apple today announced that it is blocking methods that use fake credentials to access iMessage, claiming that this poses security and privacy risks for users.

Apple also said that it cannot guarantee that end-to-end encryption will be preserved for messages sent in unauthorized ways. Beeper Mini, developed by a 16-year-old student, allowed texts to be sent to Apple servers without the need for an Apple ID, and promised end-to-end encryption for correspondence between Android and iOS users.

The Beeper Mini team reports that a solution to the problem is already close and promises to extend the free trial period for users after troubleshooting. However, given the recent actions of Apple, it is not known whether the app will be able to continue its work.

In a statement, Beeper co-founder Eric Migicovsky expressed confusion about Apple's actions, wondering why the company is trying to stop the service, which provides encrypted chat between iPhone and Android users.
