Most countries charge VAT for International Shipping. Your best bet is to tell the sender of the stuff to write the price lower than the original.
For example, if you order a 300$ netbook from ebay, tell the sender to write the price on the paper as 90$ or something.

it's not about slovakia or not slovakia. It's about EU or non EU. You won't need to pay VAT for package that you are receiving from EU. But if it's from china,USA,Australia etc.. you will need to pay that
