Your gaze is part of your meta message. Eye contact is one of the first stages of communication. A glance, at times, says more about a person than his words. From a person's gaze, it is clear whether he has surrendered or will continue to fight to the end. A person's gaze, as well as his posture, gait, voice and other elements of a person's image, reflect his (person's) self-confidence, his mood, his intentions and his desires.
A strong person, confident in himself and his strengths, has an appropriate view, which is formed as the person's personality is formed. But the opposite is also true - by developing himself, working on his voice, posture, gaze, physical condition, education, a person forms himself and his personality.
I suggest you familiarize yourself with some of the exercises described by John William Atkinson, American psychologist, specialist in the psychology of motivation and achievement motivation.

“What is known as the 'magnetic gaze' is the expression of a strong mental demand through the eyes, the nerves and muscles of which are adapted for such a firm, persistent and prolonged gaze.
The following exercises are very important and I believe the reader will do them. Through these exercises, you will be able in a short time to develop a gaze that will be felt by others, and by continuing them, you will develop its strength to such an extent that few will be able to withstand your gaze. This is the most interesting exercise and you will be pleased to see the increasing power of your eyes showing up on the people you come in contact with.
You will soon also notice that people become restless and confused under your gaze, and some even show signs of fear if you only focus your gaze on them for a few moments. When you achieve such complete perfection and acquire a firm magnetic gaze, you will not exchange such a gift for any riches.
Of course, you should not be satisfied with just doing the exercises below, but you should experiment on the persons you meet and notice the results. You can achieve complete perfection of knowledge regarding the power of gaze only through experiments with "living people".
Exercises
1. Take a sheet of white writing paper of regular A4 size, on which draw a circle about the size of a five-ruble coin. Then shade the circle with ink so that the stain stands out sharply against the white background of the paper. Stick this drawing to the wall at eye-height while seated. Place your chair in the middle of the room and sit just against the paper.
Direct your gaze to the black spot and gaze firmly, without blinking, at it for one minute. When your eyes are resting, start the exercise again, repeating it five times.
Leaving the chair in the same place, move the paper to the right one meter from its original position. Sit down and fix your gaze directly at the wall opposite you, and then, without turning your head, cast your gaze to the right and stare at the spot also for one minute. Do this four times.
Then, placing the paper a meter to the left of the original spot, again look intently at the spot for one minute. Repeat this five times. Continue this exercise for up to three days, then increase the gazing time to two minutes.
After another three days, increase the time to three minutes and continue this way, increasing the time by one minute every three days. He who can hold his gaze for fifteen minutes can still direct the same strong gaze as one who has reached thirty minutes.
This exercise is extremely important, and if you follow it exactly, you will be able to look with determination and firmness at anyone with whom you speak. It gives the eyes a strong, convincing expression and enables them to cast a gaze that few people can bear. Dogs and other animals will begin to cringe under your gaze, the effect of which will be revealed in various other ways. It is clear that these exercises are boring, but everyone will be sufficiently rewarded for the work and time spent on them. In addition, the eyes will appear larger as the distance between the eyelids increases significantly.
2. You can supplement the first exercise by making some changes in it in order to avoid monotony, and also train yourself to look others in the eyes without confusion.
Stand in front of a mirror and gaze into the reflection of your eyes as indicated in the first exercise. The time here, as before, should be increased gradually. This exercise will train you to stand up to the gaze of others, as well as the ability to give your eyes a better expression, which will be beneficial for you in other ways as well.
In doing so, you will be able to notice the development and desire of the characteristic expression of your eyes as they acquire a magnetic gaze. This exercise should be tried to be carried out systematically. Some authorities prefer this exercise to the previous one, but in my opinion, the best results are obtained from combining both exercises.
3. Stand three feet against the wall. Stick a piece of white paper in front of you at eye level. Without taking your directed eyes to the spot, you begin to rotate your head around. Since this exercise makes the eyes rotate, while keeping the gaze at one point, it therefore gives a significant development to the optic nerves and muscles. The head rotation should be changed in different directions; The very same exercise should be done at first very moderately, without tiring the eyes ...
4. Stand with your back to the wall, looking directly at the opposite one and begin to quickly run your eyes from one point of the wall to another - right, left, up, down, zigzags, in a circle, etc.
This exercise should be stopped immediately as soon as the eyes become tired.
Before ending this exercise, it is best to stop your gaze at the point at which your eyes will calm down from the previous movement. This exercise is designed to strengthen the nerves and muscles of the eyes.
5. Having mastered a firm gaze, you need to develop confidence in it; to do this, persuade some of your friends to let them try your eyes on them.
Have your friend sit opposite you in a chair; sit down also yourself, starting to look calmly, intently and firmly into his eyes, asking that he, as far as he could, also look at you. You will notice that it will not be difficult for you to tire him, and when he shouts "enough" to you, he will already be in an almost hypnotic state.
Also try the strength of your gaze on a dog, cat, or other animal, if you can get them to stand or lie quietly, of course. But you will see that most of them will run away from you or turn their heads to evade your gaze.
Understandably, you can distinguish a calm gaze from a shamelessly arrogant one. The former indicates a person with powerful psychic strength, while the latter is more characteristic of a villain.
In the beginning, you will make sure that your stubborn, firm gaze confuses those with whom you come in contact and embarrasses those you are looking at, making them restless and awkward. But soon you will get used to your new strength and will use it carefully, without causing embarrassment to others, but still making a strong impact on them.
I must warn you against all kinds of conversations regarding your eye exercises, since all this will arouse only one suspicion in people to you and create in some cases a serious obstacle to your application of your knowledge. Keep a secret to yourself so that your strength manifests itself in deeds, but not in words. In addition to these considerations, there are many other reasons why it is better to remain silent about your new abilities. Do not neglect this advice so that there is no source of regret later.
Take some time to exercise and take your time unnecessarily. Follow the laws of nature and develop your gradually strength but firmly.
Avoid blinking, squinting, or dilating your eyelids unnaturally. You can free yourself from all of this through your will and self-observation.
If your eyes become tired from exercise, rinse them with cold water and relief will appear immediately. After a few days of doing the exercises, you will notice yourself that your eyes will not get tired of them. "
These are the exercises that will help you, if necessary, make your gaze more confident and “strong”, as well as allow you to more subtly control the “intonations” of your eyes.
It is clear that you should not hope that by “pumping” your gaze you will be able to solve all your problems: from gopniks in a dark alley to an angry and hysterical aunt in negotiations with business partners =) But in some situations, a firm gaze, coupled with the right with the words said, decides.
Development is most effective when it is harmonious.
