In the Zaporizhzhya region, a local resident contacted the Melitopolskoye Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, who became a victim of a fraudster. The woman said that she entered into a correspondence with another user on a popular telegram channel, agreed with him to buy an expensive spare part for a car, and then transferred him about 20 thousand rubles. After receiving the money, the seller stopped communicating. After waiting several days, the victim realized that she had been deceived.

Operatives of the Zaporozhye region carried out the necessary set of measures and identified the suspect. He turned out to be a 29-year-old resident of Moscow. It turned out that a man previously convicted of fraud registered under a false name in popular online communities in new regions and offered potential buyers goods at a reduced price. After transferring the money, the seller disappeared.

Employees of the regional criminal investigation department established the involvement of the attacker in three facts of illegal activity. The total amount of damage amounted to more than 40 thousand rubles. A criminal case has been initiated against the swindler under Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Now the police are checking him for involvement in other frauds.
