The Prosecutor's Office of the city of Minsk sent to court a criminal case against a 28-year-old native of the capital, who is charged with the development, use, distribution and sale of malicious computer programs, unauthorized access and misappropriation of computer information.
According to the case file, the defendant was looking for persons on the website "zelenka.guru" and in the Telegram messenger to whom he offered file encryption services: he entered a specific set of instructions in the files of customers that determine the achievement of the goal. Among them are violation of security systems, obtaining unauthorized access to computer systems, networks and computer media by encrypting the malicious code contained in files from detection by antivirus software, its covert unpacking and running in computer systems, networks and computer media of third parties, as well as providing the possibility of illegal, covert copying of user and system information from an "infected computer" through a finite number of operations.
By copying, he also secretly took possession of user and system information, which he stored on a tangible medium for the purpose of subsequent use, distribution and sale.
As a result, the accused received unauthorized access to the computer systems, networks and computer media of 10 victims.
As a result of illegal activities, income in the amount of more than 19 thousand rubles was received.
After studying the materials of the case, the prosecutor's office of the city of Minsk came to the conclusion that the charges were justified, the evidence collected was sufficient, and the circumstances of the crimes were fully and objectively investigated. They agreed with the qualification of the deed under Part 1 of Article 354, Part 1 of Article 349, Part 1 of Article 352 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
The prosecutor left the previously chosen measure of restraint against the accused in the form of a recognizance not to leave and proper behavior unchanged.
