The Investigative Department of the FSB of Russia in the Ryazan Region opened a criminal case against a local resident under Article 273 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (creation, use and distribution of malicious computer programs).
It is noted that the man used specialized software to bypass computer information protection systems and illegal access to Internet resources in order to collect data and personal information.
Now the suspect faces imprisonment for up to four years with a possible fine of up to 200,000 rubles. Currently, operational and investigative measures are being carried out.
