On Standoff 365 Bug Bounty, the first bug bounty program from the subject of the Russian Federation has appeared.
From December 12 to December 29, 2023, the Standoff 365 Bug Bounty platform will host a short-term program to search for vulnerabilities in one of the key information systems of the Moscow Region-the portal of state and municipal services (uslugi.mosreg.ru). This is the first bug bounty program from a constituent entity of the Russian Federation, which is designed to improve the security and reliability of this service.
The Moscow Region Public Services Portal, launched in 2012, provides residents of the region with access to more than 300 electronic services. It is visited by about 4 million people every month, and over 77% of them have verified accounts. Therefore, the protection of confidential user data and critical infrastructure is a priority for the Government of the Moscow region.
Russian citizens over the age of 18 who are registered on the Standoff 365 platform can participate in the bug bounty program. For the detected vulnerabilities, they will be able to receive a reward of up to 150 thousand rubles. A total of 8,000 security researchers are involved in the program.
"We already have a successful experience in conducting programs to search for vulnerabilities in e-government systems at the federal level," the company said. — In many countries of the world, there is a trend to conduct bug bounties for public systems, since the public sector is the most attacked area. In Russia, the public sector can also become a driver for launching public vulnerability detection programs."
Detailed terms and conditions of the Moscow Region bug bounty program can be found on the Standoff 365 website.
