Tambov law enforcement officers dealt a truly tangible blow to the so-called telephone scammers from Nezalezhnaya, depriving them of one of the traffic to call Russia. In Zherdevka, their accomplices were detained, who provided technical support for calling the numbers of potential victims.
Accomplices of telephone scammers were taken, as they say, "warm" in beds. A brilliant operation of Tambov operatives to detain two residents of Zherdevka, who were engaged in the passage of technical traffic to make phone calls from abroad to the territory of the Russian Federation. This is a joint development of officers of the cybercrime department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region and employees of the FSB of Russia in the Tambov region.
During the events, special equipment was seized, more than 10,000 SIM cards, the total weight of which was 4.5 kilograms. At the moment, an inspection is being carried out, according to the results of which a procedural decision will be made and the guilty persons will be brought to justice,

The equipment seized during the operation was used by call centers from Nezalezhnaya to make more than 10-20 thousand calls daily. Imagine what a figure it is! Scammers used standard schemes to mislead citizens, such as transferring money to a safe account, preventing unauthorized loan processing, hacking the State Services, and so on. The scope of the criminals is evidenced by the seized SIM cards, as previously announced, the total weight is 4.5 kilograms. At the same time, according to operatives, having lost technical support in Zherdevka, the call centers of fraudsters will look for new specialists in Russia.
At the moment, fraudulent foreign call centers are recruiting specialized employees who carry out activities to pass specialized traffic to make calls from abroad. I would like to warn the population that they can also be held criminally liable for this. In no case should any technical equipment that interacts with number carriers or SIM cards be placed either at home, or in a garage, or in other controlled premises,
