Once on new work I faced a problem. There was a giant net where 2000 ogranizations wen it, on out of it i was faced by ISA server and configured firewall and proxy. I started understanding that they are monitoring my activity, reading me like a book. I started thinking - what should I do? I searched the web for a long time, and finally found a solution, but I'll talk about that later. After I scanned the web I started understanding that admins are pretty smart and filetr all the traffic, and there were just a few ports open 443(ssl), 8080(proxy) + smtp and pop3. They filtered almast everything, so the only solution for me was to use a proxy.
Closer to the topic. While I searched the internet and tried out a bunch of things such as regular proxy and ssh tunel, i understanded that I will have to use a proxy with encrypted traffic. I decided to take a VDS in Saint-Peterburg. After I ordered a web-server I started to search for software to creat a HTTP Tunnel, because I had no other choice. I found an interesting program _http://http-tunnel.sourceforge.net/ which gave everything I wanted, even more. Starting from encrypting traffic finishing to resending it to socks port.
After I found the software I got curious how it works.
1. Setting up the server
All the server will all its abilities is based on a php script.
You can put the adminpanel on windows or linux.
If you have configured Appache and php, setting up everything take about 5 minutes.
All the parameters are left by default. Zlib works by default. If you need encryption you will need to buy a certificate.
