This is a tip on how to check CCs. 1-800-jack-off used to be a good way to check if CCs are alive or not. But after checking a card and it wasn't approved on 1-800-jack-off, I went on southwest.com/giftcard and double checked, and it was approved. You can enter any amount when you purchase a giftcard. Between $1 and $1000. Make sure the CVV is correct, the billing info doesn't matter. Use any billing info. If the CC is alive and has the balance, it will charge the amount.

Works but wouldn't suggest using the gc.

If the billing info is off on southwest gcs tho don't expect it to run when you get to your flight.
The tickets may print but you run the risk of getting stopped right at the plane door.
Just an FYI.

Doesn't occur all the time but it is a risk some wont take.

does it charge or pre authorize the cc when you buy the gift card towards the end of the verify process for southwest?

charges

so it's not the best method, but it works to see if card is dead or not
