let's say i purchase a visa gift card with a debit card dump.
then i spend the money on the visa gift card.

when the shit hits the fan, who eats the charge back, the retailer who sold me the visa gift card? or the retailer where i spent the visa gift card?

obviously, this is important to know depending how you use gift cards.

thanks to any who can answer this.

doesnt matter who eats the cahrgeback the bank or the retail store as long as you get the gift card and walk out and spend the money fuck the store and the bank usually store gets the charge back but again it dont matter you got the gifty in your hands spend it wisely;)

U didnt get the point here he is asking coz one of the store might be his frens ,,,,
well the bank mostly bares the charge back coz its not the retailers fault technically but if he does it quite often then question arises why he is getting so many charge-back or fraudulent transaction....

it does matter if you want to take to take on a little risk and spend the money in your name, such as on a hotel.

yes alexevents is correct the bank takes the hit because its a flaw in there security that
a card has been cloned and used
so the BANK losses out
once a dump is used
which is something i certainly wouldnt loose sleep over
also a valid point if you kinow the guy who is selling you gift cards dont use him to often
because the banks will realise and have his merchant account suspended
while they investagate

peace

that's good to know. so the gift card $ is perfect for hotels and airfare, no?
those merchants will not be contacted, just the merchant who sold the gift card?

you're saying anytime a dump is used the bank loses out?
regardless of whether there's a gift card involved?
in other words if i use a dump to purchase X, the retailer of X does not lose out, the issuing bank of the dump loses out?

yes in most cases it is the bank that losses out because
if a dumps was used its not the fault of the retailer that
he accepted a card with someone else's details
how was the retailer to know it was a cloned card
the bank is at fault because they have security measures in place
so that should not happen
i hope this makes this a little clearer for you ;)

yes it does. thanks. i was thinking of using cvv over the internet, not a dump. my mistake!
