The topic of ransomware seems to have become really hot after the recent cyber attack on the Colonial Pipeline. Another major forum for cybercriminals - Exploit - decided to remove Ransomware-as-a-Service (RaaS) ads from its platform. This makes Exploit the second forum to opt out of ransomware ads. Just a few days ago, the same decision was made by the administrators of the Russian-language XSS site. According to Exploit, the cybercriminal groups behind ransomware attacks have been attacking indiscriminately lately, attracting a lot of unwanted attention. In addition to banning RaaS ads, Exploit administrators have decided to remove all ransomware topics.

By the way, recently it became known that the Darkside group, which is credited with the attack on the Colonial Pipeline, has shut down its RaaS service. Moreover, the attackers even turned off the corresponding resources, and also promised to issue decryptors to partners for the affected companies. As for the opinion of experts, last week the head of InfoWatch said that the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) could be involved in the cyber operation against the Colonial Pipeline.
