Payments and other banking operations continue to go smoothly after the attack.

The website of the National Payment Card System (NSPK), the operator of the Russian payment system Mir, was hacked by the hacker group DumpForums. On the main page of the site, a message appeared in which hackers claimed that they had gained access to personal data of customers and developed new projects for import substitution. The NSPK stated that the site is not related to the payment infrastructure and does not contain confidential data.

The attack on the NSPK website occurred on the evening of October 30, RBC reports. On the main page of the site, hackers posted a message on behalf of the NSPK: "We welcome you to our new site, which our DumpForums partners kindly made for us almost free of charge: we paid with all your personal data, since this is the only and permanent value that we had left."

According to the hackers, they "developed a number of innovative projects aimed at complete and final import substitution", including "the latest processing system "Beresta-Ѣ", which protects against hacker attacks", and a settlement tool-cowry shells. In addition, they stated that they "downloaded a lot of interesting information from the servers of the Mir payment system, had a great time in their internal network, and are now ready to report the hacking of the largest payment operator."

The NSPK press service told Vedomosti that the site was developed and maintained by a third-party contractor. "[The site] is only a business card with information about the company's activities and does not contain any confidential data, and also has no relation to the payment infrastructure," the NSPK said. The representative of the NSPK stressed that it is impossible to access the company's systems using the site, since its servers and data processing centers do not have Internet access. He added that processing of all payments by bank cards and operations through the SBP is carried out in normal mode.
