In the summer, the police of the Ternopil region detained an attacker who beat a serviceman and took away his weapon. The attacker was taken into custody, and computer equipment was seized at his place of residence during the search.
The cyber police of the Ternopil region, together with the investigators of the Kremenets regional department of the GUNP in the region, analyzed the information contained in the seized data carriers. Law enforcement officers established the involvement of the person involved in collecting donations on the Internet allegedly for the treatment of children and rehabilitation of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Even before the arrest, a resident of Ternopil region created several fake accounts and through them distributed fake ads on the social network "Facebook" about raising funds for help.
