Antivirus software specially developed for the military will work in conjunction with servers of automated control systems (ACS), which have their own software, protected by laptops, data encryption devices and communication means

The Russian military conducted a test of special programs for the protection of communication channels ACS "Acacia", "Andromeda" and ESU-TK. The developed anti-virus software will track unauthorized access of malware, detect the place of intrusion and identify extraneous files. It also warns the operator of a cyberattack and offers several options for reconfiguring the network and solutions to the problem.

The ACS equipment consists of a server with its own software, protected laptops, encryption devices and communication facilities. For the transmission of information, satellite channels and radio communication channels are mainly used. Although modern ICSs are usually not physically connected to the Internet, an attacker can infiltrate them by hacking information transmission channels.

“The relayed signal can be intercepted. Therefore, it needs to be protected. The most vulnerable are Wi-Fi signals, which are also used by the military. To penetrate them, it is enough to crack the password. True, in order to intercept such a signal, you need to get as close to the transmitter as possible - about 50 m. At the same time, it is possible to penetrate into radio communication signals using electronic means that are installed on reconnaissance aircraft, "said military expert Dmitry Boltenkov.

The first tests of the army antivirus were successfully completed during the Center-2019 exercise. The developments allow not only to ensure the security of the software, but also to detect the place of intrusion into the software, find damaged files, and also offer several solutions to the problem, including the possibility of reconfiguring the network to protect against attacks from outside.

Automated control systems allow organizing the interaction of troops, command posts, headquarters, and rear units. The system provides real-time transmission of information necessary for command and control of troops.
