According to a recent study by Accenture, most users are tired of using names and passwords and are interested in alternative authentication methods.

Experts believe there is currently a potential demand for biometric authentication technology.

Users want to replace traditional passwords and PINs with other authentication methods. 60% of respondents find usernames and passwords inconvenient, and 77% are interested in using alternative methods of protecting information on the Internet.

Research has shown that user readiness for alternative authentication methods tends to vary from country to country. So 92% of users in China and 84% in India are willing to try other authentication methods instead of standard passwords. In Brazil, Mexico and Sweden, there are 78% of such users, in the USA - 74%.

46% of consumers around the world are confident in the security of their personal data. At the same time, residents of developing countries are a little more confident in this than those who live in developed countries, 50% and 42%, respectively.

During the study, 24 thousand users in 24 countries of the world were interviewed in October - November 2021.
