Jen Psaki worked as a consultant for the Israeli company AnyVision Interactive Technologies.
In the wake of the Pegasus spyware revelations, the administration of US President Joe Biden added to the number of organizations involved in Israeli spy operations.
The financial information provided by the White House in response to a request from the Chicago-based Electronic Intifada shows that the NSO Group is far from the only Israeli-backed "spy company" with links to foreign governments.
The Public Financial Disclosure Report received by the publication records the previous work of White House spokesman Jen Psaki at AnyVision Interactive Technologies, another company suspected of being involved in Israeli espionage operations.
The Israeli company AnyVision Interactive Technologies produces a large number of spy technologies, including facial recognition software that can be easily integrated into CCTV cameras that were not originally intended for its deployment.
According to a White House report, after stepping down as White House communications director from 2015-2017 under the Obama administration, Psaki was recruited to serve as "crisis communications consultant" at AnyVision.
It is not clear from the report how long Psaki worked for the company, however, what the job was, it is clear from it. Judging by the small amount that Psaki received for her consulting services ($ 5,000), she did not work for AnyVision for long.
In 2019, AnyVision was criticized for supplying the Israeli army with facial recognition software that was used to track Palestinian residents. As it turns out, the company has a close relationship with the Israeli government, especially its military and intelligence sectors.
