The new company will be engaged in product development and develop the service business.

Vladimir Yevtushenkov, founder and largest shareholder of Sistema, and Yuri Maksimov, founder of the Group Positiv holding, plans to establish a joint venture in the field of cybersecurity. This company will specialize in product development and service business development in this area.

According to analysts forecasts, partners can also launch a platform to provide cybersecurity services to small and medium-sized businesses, as well as individuals. The inclusion of structures currently owned by MTS (part of Sistema) in the joint venture would allow them to be positioned as an independent business and subsequently capitalize on the stock exchange.

Yevtushenkov confirmed that the joint venture will be established this year and will be represented in various segments of the cybersecurity market. However, the specific parameters of the project, including the amount of investment and distribution of control, have not yet been determined.

Maximov clarified that the joint venture may have several shareholders divided into two groups: one will represent the cybersecurity industry, and the second - Sistema AFK. On the part of the cybersecurity industry, the Syberus Foundation, co-founded by Maximov, will become a participant in the joint venture. He noted that key decisions will be made collectively.

Yuri Maksimov also did not mention the volume of planned investments. "As soon as we agree on fundamental things, creating a partnership based on cooperation and finding money for it will not be a big problem — the cybersecurity industry and Sistema AFK have enough money to do almost any projects," he explained.

According to Maximov, the product line of the new joint venture will be focused on Sistema's portfolio, which includes companies from the telecommunications, IT and microelectronics sectors. Team leaders who will be the next step in creating a joint venture will also influence the formation of the product line.

In the future, the new joint venture may become a public company, Maximov admits. He believes that the common goal of partners is to enter the stock exchange in order to share success with private investors.

Maximov admits that the new joint venture will compete with the "Positive Group", which is already operating in the cybersecurity market. However, he sees the point in this, since competition will allow you to create better solutions. At the same time, the partnership is necessary to form a national cybersecurity product that can be offered for export.

A representative of Sistema AFK did not comment on the possibility of the holding joining the capital of Positive Group as part of a future joint venture. Maksimov denied the existence of such plans, noting that to achieve systemic changes, the participation of dozens of companies from different industries is required. A representative of Positive Group said that the company is not involved in this joint venture and does not have sufficient information about it.
