Visa card users needed cash handy Monday after a network outage prevented them from using their cards.
A network outage meant cards weren't working right across Canada, as reported by several users and confirmed on Twitter by several Canadian banks.
A spokeswoman from Visa said after 5 p.m. that the Visa network was "100% operable," and the problem came from a "third-party provider."
No details were available about who the third-party provider was, but the spokesperson said a detailed statement would be released later in the evening.
Some Visa users were reporting that they were able to use their cards again by about 4 p.m.
