More and more Twitch streamers are complaining of money being stolen from their wallets. According to the victims, hackers gained access to their accounts and redirected payments to their PayPal wallet. Representatives of Twitch just shrug their shoulders - they are unable to return the "successful" payments.

The first to sound the alarm was the Twitch streamer partner Killadelphia, which has about 10 thousand subscribers. According to him, someone logged into his account and changed his payment information, as a result of which all his earnings, including donations received, money from advertising, etc., were transferred to another PayPal wallet.

Twitch cannot help the victims in any way, because "the payment was made with the chosen method." "Twitch support does not have the ability to revoke or repeat payments that have been paid / confirmed successfully," Twitch said.

Following the Killadelphia report, there were similar complaints from other streamers. xSophieSophie, Dakillzor and EliteJonas1 have publicly announced that their payment method has changed and funds have been transferred to someone else's account.

In response to xSophieSophie's complaint, Twitch stated that "there is no way to cancel this transaction." They advised to change the password and enable two-factor authentication. According to xSophieSophie, two-factor authentication was enabled, but that didn't stop hackers from changing their payment method.

Some believe that the theft of streamer funds is related to a recent major breach earlier this month. At the time, the service stated that user credentials had not been compromised.
