The final sentence of the extradited hacker will be rendered in 2024.

Vladimir Dunaev pleaded guilty to two counts of being charged by the US authorities in the case of cyber fraud, the media reported.

The court accepted his application and set a sentencing date of March 20, 2024. The meeting was held on November 30 in Ohio.

In 2021, Dunaev was extradited from the Republic of Korea to the Northern District of Ohio. According to investigators, Dunaev developed Trickbot modifications for various browsers, as well as tools to prevent the virus from being detected by antivirus programs. Using Trickbot, attackers gained access to personal information, including online banking login details, bank card numbers, and social security numbers. In the period from 2015 to 2020, they managed to infect millions of computers with the virus.

Earlier it was reported that Dunaev faces 60 years in prison.
