The TikTok stepped up resources and staff to counter hate speech and the spread of false information that has emerged since the start of the conflict in Israel. TikTok's statement listed the actions taken, but the company declined to comment on exactly how it responded to Breton's request.
TikTok's actions include launching a command center, improving automated detection systems to remove graphic and violent content, and appointing additional moderators who speak Arabic and Hebrew.
