The Octus Bridge cross-chain team has notified users about the hacking and theft of a significant amount of crypto assets. The amount of damage caused to the platform is not yet specified.

Octus Bridge has confirmed the hacking and theft of a significant amount of $EVER tokens. The administration urged users to remain calm, avoid hasty actions and not give in to speculation.

The Octus Bridge, a decentralized cross-chain bridge – is a product of the Broxus team. The second-level multi-network solution connects the Everscale, Ethereum, Fantom, BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Milkomeda, and Solana blockchains.

Revealing the fact of hacking had a negative impact on the value of the $EVER token. According to the analytical portal CoinMarketCap, the price of the asset fell sharply by 20% and on the afternoon of October 17, it is trading at $0.026.

To prevent further unauthorized movement of tokens, the Octus team temporarily disconnected the platform from all exchange accounts.
