Our brain takes any information literally.

In hypnology, there is such a thing as organic language, and it means that our brain takes any information literally. For example, the expression "stretching your legs" means someone's death, but it also has a literal meaning that is perceived by the subconscious. Linguistic adornments such as metaphors (figurative comparisons, such as "cold heart", "iron nerves", "eye-diamond") or cliches, stable turns of speech ("bite elbows", "be zero without sticks "," pull yourself together "," go through fire and water, and copper pipes "and others).

A similar phenomenon has been found in people in a hypnotic state, where reason and logic give way and power to such perception. If a person immersed in a trance is asked the question: "Could you answer how old are you?" ...

Organic language is active and exerts its powerful influence both in hypnosis and in any other state, including wakefulness.

This is how the subtlest mechanisms of self-programming, including negative ones, are launched. D. Grinder and R. Bandler describe an example where a woman jokingly repeats a phrase she is used to without putting any serious thought into it: "My children are my punishment." She does not understand how seriously she programs herself - after all, her subconscious mind takes these words literally. And the punishment really comes. It can appear in any form - whether in the form of a headache or an accident, or something else.

And what is a play of imagination in your consciousness becomes reality in your unconscious.

Hence the conclusions. Choose your words carefully when you think or speak so that their negative meaning (if any) does not show up in your life. Conversely, speak positively, unequivocally, specifically about your goals. That is, if you need a brick house near several birches with thick trunks, then you should express yourself this way, even if something is spinning on your tongue, such as "a cozy nest surrounded by golden-haired centenary beauties." Alternatively, imagine that you are telling your child about your dream ...
