The court arrested a resident of the Krasnodar Territory, who organized the work of telephone fraudsters in the South of Russia under the supervision of curators, according to preliminary data, who were on the territory of Ukraine, the press service of the FSB of Russia in the Rostov region reported.
According to her, a repeatedly convicted resident of the Krasnodar Territory, whose personal data is not disclosed, selected people who were ready to participate in crimes.
"He distributed equipment, found rented housing for conspiracy activities and contacted curators located abroad," the FSB notes.
A criminal case was opened against the defendant on the grounds of a crime under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud). According to the court's decision, he was given a preventive measure in the form of remand in custody.
