Good day!
Nowadays, with modern technologies, covert video surveillance, DNA analysis, crime detection increases significantly, but there are very successful robbers in history!
Today we will look at the most successful robbers of the 21st century!
️Credit Lyonaisse bank robbery.
On March 30, 2010, robbers entered the Credit Lyonanais bank in the center of Paris and devastated about a hundred bank cells, stealing about a million euros.
The criminals entered the basement of the bank and entered the vault through a small hole, cutting it out with a chemical burner. In the meantime, the robbers opened 125 bank cells in a few hours.
The criminals are still at large and will hardly ever be convicted due to the expiration of the statute of limitations for the crime.
️ Robber of the Museum of Modern Art, Paris.
In May 2010, a robber broke into the Parisian Museum of Modern Art and stole paintings by artists such as Picasso and Matisse worth more than 100 million euros.
Unbelievable, but true: there was no security alarm in the museum and the thief managed to knock out the glass, remove the paintings from the frames and hide.
The robbery was discovered the next morning at 7 o'clock in the morning.
️ Theft at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.
On March 18, 1990, two men disguised as police officers broke into the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and stole $ 500 million worth of art, including works by Rembrandt, Monet, Degas.
They told the guards that a call had been made to their station and they had come to check if everything was in order. They then surrounded the guards, handcuffed them, put them in the basement, and then entered the second floor. The police discovered the robbery the next morning.
️ School of Turin.
The loudest diamond theft of all time took place on February 14, 2003 at 7 pm. Leonardo Notarbartolo, the leader of the criminal gang, entered the vault that day before the doors closed.
The motion sensor was previously neutralized with a special spray. The criminals prepared very carefully, took into account all the nuances and the robbery was done truly masterfully.
By the time it became known about the theft, the robbers had long since left the building. But Leonardo Notarbartolo was still caught, as a half-eaten sandwich with his DNA was found near the crime scene.
Leonardo was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
The remaining members of the group were never caught, but even if this happens, they will not get a prison term due to the expired statute of limitations of the crime.
️ French "vacuum thieves".
Since 2006, in France, a group of unidentified robbers have emptied the safes of Monoprix supermarkets using a conventional drill and vacuum cleaner.
Cash envelopes enter the safe through special suction tubes.
Because It is quite difficult to break into a safe with explosives, then the robbers thought it would be much easier to get money by drilling a hole and using a powerful vacuum cleaner or a device with a similar mechanism.
This is a truly unique method that leaves no evidence unlike conventional safe cracking methods.
See you soon!
