The notorious International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague announced a cyber incident in its network, where abnormal activity was detected affecting its information systems.

According to the ICC, immediate measures were taken to respond to the violation and measures were taken to mitigate its impact. Leading infosec specialists from the Netherlands have already joined the investigation.

The nature of the incident is still unclear, and it is not yet known whether any data stored in the ICC's systems was accessed or disabled.

ICC spokesman Fadi El-Adballah categorically refused to answer questions from journalists and said that the organization would not comment on the situation outside the framework of its statement. Who was behind the cyberattack, of course, is not reported.
