Next year, the number of fraudulent calls will be halved, and the time for blocking fake sites will not exceed a day, they promise in the Ministry of Digital Science. To achieve these indicators, the ministry plans to automate the collection, analysis and transmission of information about intruders to the authorized bodies. This is reported by "Kommersant", having familiarized himself with the presentation of the head of the Ministry of Digital Science Maksut Shadayev, presented at an expanded meeting of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy.
Shadayev noted that a day is the maximum period for blocking, and ideally the work should take six to eight hours.
The ministry told the publication that it is planned to automate the collection, analysis and transmission of information to authorized bodies to make a decision on blocking fraudulent sites. The ministry will collect information together with leading Russian companies in the field of cybersecurity.
Russian companies specializing in cybersecurity will help the Ministry of Digital Security to automate the collection, analysis and transmission of information.
There is essentially only one way to reduce the number of phishing sites - to make this business commercially unprofitable, increasing the costs of cybercriminals and reducing the profitability of criminal schemes, says Nikita Pinchuk, technology director at Infosecurity a Softline Company.
Now, most of the phishing resources are already blocked for several hours, but during this time they manage to fulfill their function and bring profit to the creators. To reduce the number of fraudulent calls, Mr. Pinchuk believes, it is necessary to identify fake call centers and bring the organizers of this criminal business to justice.
