A resident of Zhodino defrauded about 30 enterprises across the country for a total amount of more than Br660 thousand. This was reported by the Investigative Committee.
The attacker posted advertisements on the Internet for the supply of grain crops on behalf of the organizations Mobile Vector, Teploopttrade, Zernottrade and Green Ring on favorable terms. He presented himself as the owner of successful companies, professionally communicated with potential clients, offered them favorable terms of transactions and affordable prices.
But after receiving the money, the 39-year-old man immediately stopped all contact. Almost 30 businesses became participants in the scammer's scheme. As it later became clear, the promised grain crop that the enterprises purchased did not exist at all.
“Having carried out his “business scheme”, the man managed to collect impressive sums of money and hide with them in a country whose authorities, in fact, created an enclave for the underworld in Europe, sheltering not only extremists, but also swindlers. The damage caused to enterprises, amounts to hundreds of thousands of rubles. Their representatives contacted the police," the Investigative Committee noted.
The actions of the head of the organizations "Mobile Vector", "Teploopttrade", "Zernottrade" and "Green Ring" are qualified under Article 209 (fraud) of the Criminal Code.
At the moment, investigators are making efforts to return funds to business entities. The businessman's accounts and property were seized.
Law enforcement officers also carry out investigative actions and operational search activities in order to uncover all participants in the criminal scheme.
