Federal Security Service operatives received at their disposal lists of people who placed orders on the now closed document forgery service The Money Team (TMT). As a trusted source told Darknet News, arrests of those involved have been taking place over the past few months.
“TMT managed to sell fake FSB employee IDs to people who deceived real FSB officers in some matter. After that, they began to unwind the chain right up to the service. The result was the arrest of a person who was sending documents from a warehouse in Vladivostok,” the source noted.
According to him, a TMT employee in the Far East maintained a detailed database in which he entered the most detailed information about the shipments he carried out. After the operatives studied it, they began active work in the market for counterfeit documents, which has already led to numerous arrests of TMT clients.
“That is why there are practically no services left inside Russia that produce fake documents. It is dangerous for them to be in the country. Most of the verified companies in this segment produce documents in other countries, after which they are sent to Russia,” a Darknet News source stated.
He added that the FSB's main interest is in those who forged passports, military documents and identification cards of various structures, primarily the security forces. At the same time, the founder of the TMT service, who was accused of scam in Russia, left the country and moved to live in North America, where he is now serving a sentence for drug charges.
TMT first appeared on the Dublikat forum in 2015, but the active phase of work began only two years later. All of the founder's accounts were last online about a month ago. At the same time, the service was banned on Dublikat on September 11, 2023.
